Respect jurisdiction and professional rules
Legal content must distinguish general information from advice and account for jurisdiction, practice area, and changing law. Have appropriately qualified counsel review claims and disclaimers under the rules that apply to the firm. GEO does not justify guaranteed outcomes, misleading specialization claims, or manufactured endorsements.
Research the client's actual questions
Organize prompts around issue recognition, deadlines, process, documents, costs, venue, alternatives, and choosing counsel. Add location and matter context only where the firm can serve. Generic national pages are a poor substitute for precise, maintained explanations.
Create attorney, practice, office, fee, and process pages with consistent facts. Explain who handles the matter, what the engagement does and does not cover, and when a reader should seek immediate individualized help.
Measure quality, not just mentions
Review whether answers associate the firm with the correct practice and geography, avoid false claims, and cite reliable material. Escalate material inaccuracies through an internal correction process. Track qualified inquiries separately from broad informational visibility.
FAQ
Q: Should a firm publish an answer for every legal query? A: No. Prioritize questions within its competence and service area, with appropriate review and clear limitations.
Q: Are directory listings enough? A: They can support consistent entity facts, but substantive expertise and trustworthy first-party information remain necessary.
